Newark Town FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Nathan Arnold as First Team manager.

Newark Town FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Nathan Arnold as First Team manager.

Having enjoyed a professional career until 2020, most notably for Grimsby Town, Lincoln City and Mansfield Town, Nathan brings to the club a wealth of experience, managing previous clubs, Melton Town and Bourne Town, respectively.

This ambitious and exciting appointment is being supported by Newark-based company, Gusto Group, with Nathan having the freedom to focus on further developing the team.

The new manager inherits a superb squad, successfully built by out-going manager, Luke Parsons and Assistant Manager, Tony Joynes, but whose promotion ambitions were unfortunately thwarted by COVID-19.

Gusto Group Chairman, Steff Wright, added:

“I am thrilled to be in a position to help Newark Town FC develop its First Team ambitions. Having been connected to the club for many years, from sponsoring the team to working alongside past and present individuals and businesses, these are exciting times ahead. It’s fantastic to be a part of the journey.”

“With the final stages of building work at our home ground at the YMCA Sports Village, taking shape, this is the perfect time for our supporters and the local community as a whole, to get behind the lads.”

“During our ten years as Chairman and CEO respectively at Lincoln City FC, I, alongside Club Secretary, Dave Roberts, will be wholeheartedly supporting Nathan to deliver success for this great club.”

Following this announcement, a spokesperson for the Blues also added:

“The club would like to put on record our sincere thanks to Paul Hatherley, Senior Section Chairman, who steps down after three years in the role, for his hard work and commitment to the First Team. Paul will continue as a Club Director and Board Member.”
