A month without a game and you would think we would be rusty, I expected it.. I was wrong , from the off to the last minute we played proper football . Our passing is just getting better and better . And to say we did it without a very influential captain missing for 85% of the game was even more impressive , however his stand in was exellent himself. Our shape again was good and you look at them playing and it looks really well balanced . From back to front they all know their role and work as a team , no massive stand out players but equals . Anyway, Fardon look a decent enough team with a couple of lads who know how to put their foot in when needed but to be honest they was no match for our lads today ,that's not being disrespectful to them but it's being very respectful of my own teams hard work in turning a season around after a difficult start . We used the ball simply and effectively , no panick clearing from the back, Dylan and Sam won the ball and looked up , Finley and Jacob were always available outlets and again seem to be improving with each week going by. Entirely different players, Jacob is the ball player and creates loads of chances with his simple passing , Finley just never lets his marker settle with his constant running at defenders , backed up with Kai's total midfield role , or Paul scholes on this day, James mayfield is also understanding what is expected of him once the ball has worked its way to him and is involving wide players at the right times, this formula is s backed up with two keepers in Tom and Jacob C who are both still relatively new to us but both look good and are getting better each week , they both had half each with Jacob being the busier of the two and he did really well , good solid hands , tom was basically a spectator first half with a couple of through balls to deal with . The weather was awful but it didn't effect us as we piled on pressure , the first half ended 2-0 to us with James and Jacob scoring , Second half farndon played slightly better but didn't really stop us from causing all kinds of problems and we scored a couple more with James getting his second and Isaac coming on and joining in the attack getting his second of the season and could have got a second with a better directed shot . It finished 4-0 , could have been a lot more but I'm not bothered about scorelines ,I'm bothered about performances and I can definitely say we got one ,,,,, mom was James ,
