The Blues hit double figures against opposition which never remotely looked like troubling them.

Jordan Thomas scored five goals on his full debut as Newark Town easily beat a woeful Welbeck side 10-0 at Station Road on Saturday.
Thomas and Ngoni Dongo were making their first starts for the club and both produced commanding performances against admittedly poor opponents.
Newark expected a comfortable win going into the match, and they made the best possible start when Thomas fed the ball to Darren Townsley, who shot towards the top corner with the keeper unable to keep the effort out with just 75 seconds on the clock.
Max King produced an excellent performance on the right wing, and on 8 minutes he set up Thomas with a testing cross that was hammered into the net.
Thomas added a third in the 20th minute with a calm finish, before Dom Swingler got on the score sheet with a curling effort that nestled into the top corner.
Swingler scored another impressive goal on the half hour mark as he controlled a cross from the right before producing a beautiful volley giving the goalkeeper no chance.
Thomas added the sixth just before half time to complete his hat trick, again slotting a calm finish into the corner.
Damien Lloyd replaced Sam Wilford at the half, while Welbeck’s troubles continued to mount as they emerged for the second half with just ten men following an illness to one of their players.
It didn’t take long for Newark to add a seventh after the break, Thomas again slotting in after Daryl Price did well to set him up once more.
Townsley added his second of the afternoon with a peach of a finish. With the goalkeeper out of position he produced an excellent lob to increase Newark’s hefty lead.
There were more chances for Lloyd, King and Luke Parsons, but they couldn’t get their names on the score sheet against their increasingly lacklustre opponents.
Thomas became the first Town player to score five in a match when he drilled in another after good work from Dom Swingler.
Welbeck’s defending verged on the embarrassing for a good portion of the second half, and Newark were able to cut them open at will .
Double figures were achieved when Chris Dobbie produced an exquisite chip over the keeper, to put a seal on a comprehensive victory.
The Blues could easily have scored even more, but as Welbeck became increasingly unfocused, the interest surrounding the match decreased, and Newark spurned a number of opportunities that could have greatly improved their goal difference.
Manager Tony Joynes was happy with the win but believes they missed a trick by not scoring more goals in the second half.
“I asked the lads to stay disciplined at half time, but although we scored more goals we let things get a bit sloppy,” he said.
“It’s hard keeping the players motivated when they’re playing a match that easy, if this doesn’t send them a message that we need to get out of this league I don’t know what will.”
