All were a little apprehensive as we entered our first tournament as Newark Town Cavaliers, but we got off to a flying start winning our first game, this was followed by two draws, a loss, a win then another loss, so overall a great performance all round. We saw great goals from Ewan, Jacob and Fred, this was backed up by excellent defending from Alfie, Matthew and Theo, and not forgetting the amazing goal keeping from Toby. The quick 6 minute games were exciting and always action packed keeping the parents gripped at all times, thankfully the weather held off to the end but I don't think that would have affected our players as they all gave their best and enjoyed every minute on and off the pitch, they were a credit to us all and I am proud to be part of this team that has improved and bonded so well together as a team over the year we have been together. The only disappointment to the day was there not being enough medals for everyone to take home but this didn't get our boys down. Looking forward to the next tournament and more wins, thank you to all, kids and parents.
