Newark Town Football Club Limited was registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965. It is known as an Industrial and Provident Society (IPS) or a Community Benefit Society and is regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

It is now a recognised legal entity that can issue shares. Each shareholder can only own one share and is permitted one vote. It is wholly owned by its members who come from the local community. No single person or entity can dominate the ownership structure.

The future looks bright on the pitch with the first team management confident of being in a position to challenge for the title now they play from the YMCA ground on Bowbridge Road in Newark. At some point in the future it is hoped that the club will be able to update and extend the Tom Mann Pavilion. In order to achieve this and for the club to grow on a sustainable basis the board is looking to increase the number of shareholders.
