Newark Town Ladies' second friendly away to an established Lincoln Moorlands saw Town go one nil down in the 3rd minute. Town responded quickly with a 9th minute equaliser from Lauren Hardern and after some end to end play from both sides Paxton Johnson hit a superb strike on 20 minutes only for Moorlands to hit back 2 minutes later.
Town played well up until the 70th with some good goalkeeping by Lauren Bohacz and great defending by Nicky 'cool as a cucumber' Ball. Moorlands scored 4 goals in the last 18 minutes.
Pre-season training has gone well and players have adapted to playing in positions they are not used to.
With the full squad available success is there for the taking.
We have friendly at Devon Park on Sunday against Bingham Town Ladies ko 2pm
