The Ladies had their first friendly today against Clifton Ladies away. Newark Town fielded a mix of young and established players taking control of the first 20 minutes with some promising football.
Paxton Johnson put town in front with a well earned goal. Clifton responded with a goal when the Ladies seemed to take their foot off the pedal.
Louise Kaine came out of goal and found the net after some class passing from defence through to midfield.
Hannah Colton put away a neat 30 yarder freekick and there was outstanding performances from Jordan Rudd and Gemma Killett.
