Cruise control

I thought today we shown how far we have come , Ordsall were back to full strength and have some decent players. The team set up was 3-4-1 and our wide play was troubling Ordsall from the first minute.. It wasn't long until we got the first goal and it came from a good little build up . Pete was away cutting in a drove the ball home ,1-0. Ordasll we've giving things a go without to much success but a warning sign was there. Finley was put in a coup,e of times but a wayward shot and a save kept the score at 1-0, theirs time of asking he was on it, tucking the ball away 2-0. Our early danger warning sign pro paved right , ordsall attacked down their right , a missed tackle left us dawdling and Harry exposed 2-1.to be fair Ordsall pressed for the equaliser but Tom , Dylan and Theo stood firm along side the midfield and counter attacked , Kierin bolted down the right hit in a low hard cross that Kai managed to flick in 3-1 ,half time . We talked about moving the ball simpler and quicker and that's what we did for the whole second half.isaac replaced Theo and slotted into left defence comfortably . It was wave after wave of attacks . Chances were coming in and it was totally just a matter of time until the goals glowed. Finley earned himself a penalty after a bit of skill saw him upended , 4-1 and as a contest it was over , Another great build up saw Pete away he sent a diagonal through ball into Finley's path who knocked it around the oncoming keeper for a tap in bought the hat-trick 5-1 and I replaced him up top with Theo who could have scored himself but for a last ditch tackle , Pete got his second to make it 6-1. Whistle went and Harry reminded me that he didn't have to make a single save which kind of tells you the story . You'd call it a professional job well done if they were professional , but these lads are better than that , I'll call it an Elite job well done.
