Grassroots is where it's at

Top game to watch tonight , Greenbank brought some of their league A team tonight and it turned into epic game.It was like a FA cup tie between two fearless teams , end to end stuff from both teams , posts, crossbars, penalty box scrambles , good goals , endless shots and saves , it had it all . The scoreline was really irrelevant really as it was just a friendly but the tackles were flying in (fairly) and a few knocks here and there but still , their growing lads and this is becoming the norm. Our usual team line up had to change due to 3 missing lads (school games and training elsewhere) but we still had a good team out . We started brightly with our stand in striker Dylan doing all the right stuff and getting into scoring positions but couldn't find a way past the keeper (4 times i ask you). Kai was guilty of a couple along with Finley . We should have been at least 3-0 up but we wasn't , we nearly paid the price but for a good save from Harry . I'm sure we came in1-0 in at half time but I cant remember . Anyway our formation again changed due to aTom playing for both sides , Dylan going back to defence along side Issac and Theo ,Finley back up top and Louis masking his temporary debut. The half was a blur of shots, saves ( with faces) goals heavy tackles , double post hits and also sorts of football mayhem . After Pete had equalised we fell 3-1 behind , they had a 10 minute purple patch that we had no answer to , we rallied and attacked freely again , we had to , Kai sent finley racing through and he slotted it away , at this point I knew we would level things , Finley attacked full speed down the left, crossed deep for Jacob to volley home 3-3.we called it a day as light was the only true winner , great game , lads from both teams left happy , MOM , again the lad Finley , although it could have been Harry for the face save I thought ,
