Still fighting hard

After no football last week after a cancellation at the last hour we were chomping at the bit to get some football played. Both teams started a little cagey as the boys knew that today was crucial for us to get a result and get the 3 points. After the school had laid down the law again telling Nathan he had to play rugby rather than playing football for town again, I made a phone call to Judah to see if he had wanted to play in goal and without a 2nd thought he said "Yes". so we had a stand in keeper today but there was nothing stand-in about it, he had an awesome game between the sticks making some good saves, clearing his lines and making a great penalty save at 1-0. He had won himself M.O.M too.
Clayton was making runs and Bridgeford just couldn't handle him, scoring 4, had a goal disallowed and created plenty. Harry got himself a goal today, as did Danny. All the boys played really hard today everyone was supporting each other and giving encouragement. You showed me today that the old Newark Town is still in you all and I know this season has been a tough one. Some close games that we could of had a result from and some games where we have gone 1 down and our heads have dropped, but with today it was a well deserved win and I know and you know just how good we are. Clayton 4, Danny 1, Harry 1, Judah M.O.M and Clayton got Parents Player.
