Scoreline doesn't reflect the performance

Away to the league leaders today and the boys were up for it big time. We started the strongest and before too long Clayton was through 1on 1 with the Farndon keeper but unfortunately went for power and it was straight at the keeper. We were all over them they just didn't know what to do. We had 3-4 attempts on Farndons goal in the half only to not get a goal through the keeper or narrowly missing the target. Everyone of the boys were playing out of their skins, pressuring winning headers, 50-50 balls and being strong in the tackle. The boys at the back were immense today, with Ben Handley providing us with the slide tackle of the season. Midfield were special today bossing and making great runs, holding up the ball, tackles and efforts on goal. And we were unlucky to not have had 3-4 goals of our own from the strikers. I'm not going to go into the goals conceded as they were not what was great about the game, what was great was the commitment and effort the lads put in today they really did put in an excellent shift and carrying on until the final whistle. Sam got m.o.m today a deserved it. Although today their were many contenders. Cheers boys.
