No keeper and 2 injuries

Today we started out on the back foot before we had even kicked a ball. Its the first time we had a club vs country row on our hands as Nathan Rogers our spider of a keeper was told that he had to play football today for his new school no excuses. Our new signing couldn't play as the league official had gone on holiday so wasn't transferred in time. We turned up at coronation street park to play Grove rangers in good spirits.
Cameron had volunteered to go between the sticks and before we got started in the warm up he had banged his hand and hurt his finger. but he said he was ok to start the game. The game started great we were winning every ball every 2nd ball we just seemed to want it more.
Judah was twisting turning Grove couldn't cope with him. Sam had found himself just outside the area and hit a sweet shot "GOAL". Grove kicked off and soon they had broke and they had scored to level things up. Then they went 2-1 up although the player was judged to be off-side by the linesman and both managers the referee overruled him and said he looked on to me. Grove were a little pushy and the ref had awarded a free kick. Clayton shoots and score brilliant goal.
2-2 half-time.
We started the 2nd half and something wasn't right Clayton was struggling he had a kick to the side of his knee. Sub was made and Clayton was off to A&E with his swollen leg. Fingers crossed for our goal machine. Newark had switched off and Grove capitalised 3-2, then 4-2 in quick succession. Our heads were down we just couldn't get started again. Trying really hard to stop the rot we were playing ok and then Grove scored their 5th out of nothing really. We went right to the wire to try and change the game.
We had a free kick wide on the right Sam took the kick and Danny found it coming to him in the air with his back to goal. What I saw next had me gobsmacked the whole crowed applauded from what they had just witnessed a bicycle/scissor kick that the keeper had no chance. What a goal. Unlucky boys thanks for carrying on and you all kept trying to the end. Cameron went off to A&E after the game to find out he had played the whole game with a fractured finger speedy recovery mate. Sam Cook got M.O.M today and Parents player well done mate.
