Newark Town are pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Venables as the club’s new first team manager. Steven has moved to Town after two successful seasons with Notts Senior League side Newark Flowserve who he has guided to two successive promotions. Town chairman Dave Roberts, making the announcement, said “I’m absolutely delighted by the appointment. Steven has proved himself as a manager and his appointment at Town will give him the platform to take himself and the club to the next level. He made a really positive impression with both his enthusiasm and professionalism, and I look forward to exciting times ahead for Newark Town”.
Steven, who will be accompanied by Matt Wade, Richard Mills and coach Oliver Tatterson was equally upbeat. “I’m delighted to have this opportunity and keen to get started on the hard work ahead. My main priorities are to unify the first team and reserve teams and to put together a team capable of reaching and maintaining football at a higher level. “
