Introducing youngsters into refereeing

With referees often in short supply, we are delighted to introduce two home-grown young ladies freshly qualified and already setting the standard at Newark based matches this winter.

Step forward Newark Town’s Keira Swinscoe aged 14 and Aleks Malecki aged 16.

These young ladies are a vital component in ensuring the survival of grassroots referees and we are very proud of their achievements so far.

One of the most challenging positions on the pitch these days, both Keira & Aleks are already officiating matches and doing a great job.

Upholding order is not always easy, particularly at a competitive level, but here at Newark Town, we in-still in all our players from an early age just how important respecting match officials are.

We wish Keira & Aleks a long and enjoyable journey with their refereeing and thank them for showing such maturity in taking on a role that can often test the metal of most adults.
