Newark Town FC are now proud owners of their very own defibrillator.
The potentially life-saving defibrillator has recently been sited on the Tom Mann Pavilion should it be needed by anyone connected to the club or the general public.
Sarah Robinson, Vice-Chairman and fundraiser at the club said: “This is a great asset for the club and we are really proud that we have fundraised hard to purchase it. God-forbid it is ever needed, but if it is, it is here and ready to be used. We’d like to thank Newark & Sherwood District Council for financially contributing to the external cabinet which will enable it to be used by all Devon Park visitors”.
“All of our coaches and volunteers are first aid trained, however, defibrillators are relatively simple to use and if it is ever needed in an emergency, the machine will instruct the operator what to do”.
