Exciting times ahead as Luke Parsons joins Damo Parkinson at Newark Town FC

As the new season approaches, the club is delighted to announce that Luke Parsons is set to return to Newark Town’s First Team, this time, to work alongside Damo Parkinson as joint manager.
Luke previously played for the side for a couple of seasons, joining in 2009/2010.
In May 2010, Luke, then aged 20, helped Newark Town win the League Cup. It was his goal that took the side to extra time before victory.
Luke was instrumental in forming and captaining the successful Newark Town Sunday side who, in just four seasons, won ten trophies including the Nottinghamshire Junior &
Senior Cups, the Willie Hall Cup on three occasions, Division Two Championship & League Cup, the Premier League Championship twice and the Premier League Cup.
Luke, has also had spells playing for other Saturday sides including Radford, Harrowby United and Radcliffe Olympic.
Speaking about his appointment, Luke commented:
“Now that the news has been announced, I can’t wait to get started working alongside Damo and Tony Joynes”.
“Damo and I have the same ambitions; we are both winners. We both know it's going to be a tough season, but one we will relish”.
“We are both confident that with hard work, dedication and the right attitude, we can achieve promotion to Step 6 football”.
“Pre-season starts this coming Monday and hopefully we will see a few new faces attending our well organised training sessions”.
“I am really looking forward to the 2019/2020 season, particularly us playing at our new home ground at the YMCA Sports Village on Bowbridge Road”.
Damo Parkinson added:
“It’s great to have Luke on board with Tony, myself and the rest of the team”.
“Having him both on and off the pitch will be a big asset moving into next season”.
