Due to his increasing work commitments, Newark Town manager Tony Joynes has tendered his resignation.

Newark Town have accepted the resignation of first team manager Tony Joynes due to his increased work commitments. Tony has worked minor miracles this season to put out a team which has finished in the season in fourth place in the Central Midlands League North division, the highest position the club has achieved. His two spells at the club have spanned seven seasons, first with Brett McNamara as joint manager and for the past three seasons with the assistance of Adrian Speed. The club wish to place on record their sincere appreciation and thanks for all the time and effort Tony has put in on behalf of Newark Town and wish him all the best for the future.
