Working towards increasing girls football in Newark..

We are delighted to introduce the Newark Town Girls Centre of Development.
The centre was formed in October 2017 and has already attracted more than 20 girls aged 5 - 11 years.

We offer girls the opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, gain confidence and eventually, if they wish, play football for a team. However, if girls who already play for a team want to come along to develop their skills they are more than welcome. We are not here to poach players, we are here to help support and encourage girls to play more football.

The centre is run by 3 FA qualified coaches; Mark Nesbitt and Steve Tur and assisted by Wendy Shaw under the Newark Town Club rules and ethos. Each session is planned and can be adapted to support new players whenever they join. No one will be left out and each child will be given support and encouragement to enable them to play football as part of a mixed or all girls team.

The sessions run every Sunday as follows

7th January 2018 - 1st April 2018 (NOT 21st January)
Magnus Community Sports Centre, Bowbridge Road, Newark. NG24 4AB
9.00AM - 11.00AM Aged 5 - 8 years
11.30am - 12.30pm Aged 6 - 11 years

From April 8th 2018 session will continue on Devon Park at the same times.

The first session is free, then £3.00 per child thereafter. A registration form will need to be signed and parents are asked to wait in the reception area (seating and toilets are available) until the session has finished.

Children will need appropriate footwear, shin pads and a drink. All other equipment is provided by the club.
