Commemorative Truce Game Weekend

Newark Town FC will play a match against Emmendingen 03 FC to commemorative 100 years since the start of the Great War.

The game will recreate the Truce Game that took place on Christmas Day 1914.

We plan to take a squad of players at Under 21 level to play against the team from our twin town at a venue in Belgium. The game will take place on Sunday 24th August 2014.
